Oosthuizen to miss Alfred Dunhill Championship

Louis Oosthuizen has been ruled out for 14 days after having cortisone injections in his lower back.
Oosthuizen missed two months of action after withdrawing from the Open in July due to the long-standing problem and will be absent from next week’s Alfred Dunhill Championship at Leopard Creek after being advised to rest.

ANTALYA, Turkey – In what has already been a lost season for Louis Oosthuizen – having been sidelined with an injury for a good portion of the year – will get even longer for the South African.
Oosthuizen is scheduled for a facet joint block procedure in his native South Africa the Monday after the DP World Tour Championship, the European Tour’s season-ending event in Dubai, that will sideline him for at least two more weeks.

Louis Oosthuizen faces around two months out of action because of the injury that forced him to withdraw from the 142nd Open Championship at Muirfield.
Oosthuizen, who pulled out of the third major of the season after eight holes because of long-standing injuries to his neck, back and hip, will miss this week’s WGC - Bridgestone Invitational and the US PGA Championship.

Louis Oosthuizen, the 2010 Open champion, has been forced to withdraw from this year’s tournament because of a hip injury.
"I am tremendously disappointed to have had to withdraw from the Open after just eight holes," said the South African.
"The same hip problem that forced me out of the US Open last month after just one round returned at Muirfield and meant I could not continue.
