Charl Schwartzel and Louis Oosthuizen both finished in the top six at the Dubai World Championship after leaving themselves a little too much to do on the final day.
It was a gallant effort from the chasing pack but Alvaro Quiros kept his nerve to win the title in stunning fashion and Luke Donald clinched the Race to Dubai by finishing third.

Louis Oosthuizen produced another stunning round at the Dubai World Championship to sit in third place heading into the final day.
A superb eagle at the par 5 seventh helped the South African to a 66 which leaves him on -11, three shots behind tournament leader Alvaro Quiros.

Louis Oosthuizen carded one of the rounds of the day at the Dubai World Championship to fire himself up the leaderboad.
The South African carded a five under par 67 which was only bettered by two rounds of 66 and Alvaro Quiros' record equalling 64. The Spaniard leads by four on -12.
